Ocean Alley - West Coast
'West Coast' is the latest single from Ocean Alley.
The track is taken from Ocean Alley's 4th album 'Low Altitude Living', joining previous singles ‘Touch Back Down’, ‘Deepest Darkness’, ‘Home’ and ‘Double Vision’. The album arrived on October 14, 2022, and quickly became a hit for Ocean Alley: it has amassed over 20 million streams since release, debuting at #3 on the ARIA Top 50 Albums Chart – and #5 on the NZ Top 40 Albums Chart, making it the band’s first album to chart in New Zealand. It was honoured as a triple j Feature Album, and saw Rolling Stone praise Donegal as “a magnetic frontman who delivers a soaring vocal performance of heady croons”.
The band had a mammoth 2022 on the road, selling in excess of 15,000 tickets in North America alone. The band played across the East Coast + Canada in June & July and the West Coast in October, selling out nearly every headline show on the tour. They return to North America in August for their biggest shows to date in the market, including a near sold out show at Malkin Bowl in Vancouver and The Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles.
'West Coast' is a track dripping with attitude and groove, cruising from the opening beat with its windows down and the speakers pumping. It gets to its chorus quickly and packs a punch, with a killer post chorus keys riff to drive home the fierce aesthetic of the track.
